One objective in the ‘Green Deserts’ project is the production network of freshwater from ocean waters by desalination. In addition, an infrastructure shall be foreseen for manure influx.
Setting up a network for freshwater supply and for wastewater disposal is a standard procedure in constructing any residential house.
Thus, the corresponding infrastructure within the ‘Green Deserts’ project aims for a sustainable network for sweet water and manure influx which can be used as is or for wastewater removal in later re-use phases.
But preferably, manure influx tubes should be connected with the wastewater management right from the start: if wastewater contains natural products only, blending devices could turn that 'wasted' water into additional manure.
By this, the co-existence of regular greenhouses and residential houses for workers, technicians, and scientist could be tested right away.
