In return for 'providing' the unused spaces of desert regions, we intend to set-up a framework of high-tech facilities, mainly composed of solar-powered housings. Especially, solar greenhouses will produce a surplus of energy and food, both sellable to the open market.
But the 'Green Deserts' concept is not only intended to provide lots of food and energy.
It also aims for lots of prospective homes, lots of basic work, lots of high-quality work, and hence, a future without, or at least, less poverty to the African people.
Challenging work will be a key factor in making the African people and countries more competitive to the highly developed countries. But being and acting competitively only results from an intrinsic motivation. And an intrinsic motivation can only come from projects that one can fully identify with.
