Building blocks of the 'Green Deserts' project focus on a wholistic approach to mitigate climate change:

• reduction and fixation of carbon dioxide
• production of clean energy instead of wasting fossil fuel reserves
• re-fertilisation and revitalisation of desert soils instead of heating the atmosphere

Additional building blocks focus on a wholistic approach to mitigate environmental pollution:

• denitrification of intensively used agricultural lands
• extraction of microplastics out of sea water

The latter buildings blocks will help to raise the quality of the marine and terrestrial living environments for creatures that are carbon dioxide sinks themselves.
